Well, Kansas here I am! I can always remember watching “Little House on the Prairie”. I loved watching the girls run through the flowered prairie. I knew, however, I never would want to live in the prairie! After marriage, I moved to enjoy the island life. Oh, not those warm tropical islands. I’m talking about THE Lake Erie Islands. I enjoyed living on the lakefront. I am sure anyone who lives on Lake Erie in January can live anywhere! Well, two years ago life brought us to …….. you guessed it! The Kansas prairie! Well, more like on the edge of the prairie and the Flint Hills. I love Kansas. Here are my **** 23 Things Kansas **** that I discovered over the last two years: 1) Won a Blue Ribbon at my 1st county fair, 2) a White Ribbon at my 1st State Fair!, 3) hiking the Flint Hills, 4) Abilene, 5) Castle Rock/Monument Rock, 6) Dodge City, 7) Wichita, 8) The Donut Whole, 9) Cowtown (and Trapper Santa!), 10) Cosmosphere, 11) ExplorationPlace, 12) I saw prairie dogs!, 13) tornado, 14) buffalo, 15) the HOT/COLD water towers in Canton, 16) visited the Rhino Capital of Kansas, 17) was in a 4th of July Parade w/ the grandkids, 18) Peabody July 4th fireworks, 19) Coronado Heights, 20) Lindsborg, 21) saw Rock City, 22) Mushroom Rock, and 23) the opportunity to work in a great library with great people
